Use Nitti in Claude or ChatGPT.

Before you start

You need a Nitti account that belongs to an organisation. You will also need this connector address:

You sign in with your Nitti account when you connect. You do not need an API key.

Claude (web, desktop, and mobile)

1. On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Customize → Connectors, click +, and choose Add custom connector.
2. Name it Nitti, paste the connector address, keep Requires sign-in on, and leave the optional client ID and secret fields blank. Click Add.
3. Click Connect, sign in to Nitti, and approve access.

You only add it once. Nitti then works in Claude on the web, in the desktop app, and in the mobile app.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds Nitti first under Organization settings → Connectors. Members then click Connect under Customize → Connectors. See Anthropic's custom connector guide.

Claude controls these approval settings; Nitti cannot change your saved choices. Ask pauses for approval before a tool runs, while Always usually skips that per-use prompt. Work accounts may restrict these choices.

To stop prompts for Read skill, open Customize → Connectors → Nitti and set it to Always. Set any other tools you trust to Always individually; switch a tool back to Ask to approve each use.

Read skill only loads Nitti's task instructions; it does not search your Nitti content or make changes. These Claude settings only control prompts; they do not change the access granted by your signed-in Nitti connection.

Claude Code

If you already added Nitti in Claude and sign in to Claude Code with the same Claude account, it is already there. Otherwise, run this in your terminal:

Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose nitti, and sign in to Nitti.

ChatGPT

Nitti is not in the ChatGPT app directory yet. Until it is, add it with developer mode on chatgpt.com. This needs a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu plan.

1. On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
2. Go to Plugins and click +.
3. Name it Nitti, paste the connector address, and choose OAuth if asked.
4. Sign in to Nitti and approve access.
5. In a chat, turn Nitti on from the Developer mode tool in the message box.

Developer mode only works on chatgpt.com, not in the ChatGPT desktop or mobile apps. Use Nitti in your browser until it is in the app directory. See OpenAI's developer mode guide.

Other assistants

Any assistant that supports remote MCP connectors can use the same connector address.

What it can do

Your assistant can search and read data from the Nitti organisation you connect. With extra access to make changes, it can create projects, folders, and notes, and manage research. Claude cannot edit or delete existing projects, folders, notes, or source material.

Claude must show you the research cost estimate and get your approval before a research run starts.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in your assistant's settings. To cut off someone's access right away, remove them from the organisation in Nitti.
